Queenstown is a skiier and snowboarders paradise, with four awesome ski fields within easy reach (Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona & Treble Cone). When looking at heading down this way it can be overwhelming as to which resort you choose to spend your time and money at. The Resorts
CORONET PEAK
Times: 9am - 4pm
Elevation: 1649m/ 5410ft
Ski Terrain: 280ha
Distance from Queenstown: 30 mins
About: Coronet Peak first opened in 1947 and is New Zealand's longest running commercial ski field. Popular for its roller-coaster terrain, it also the most easily accessible ski area from Queenstown. It's the lowest lying of the four resorts but don't let that put you off as, due to its unique terrain, very little snow is required to make Coronet Peak a powder heaven. It is also home to the area's only night skiing; operating Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights throughout winter. Find out more

Distance from Queenstown: 45 mins
About: Catering to both Queenstown and Wanaka makes Cardrona one of New Zealand's most popular ski areas, attracting all levels of ability - from beginners & families, to Olympic & X Games athletes. Cardrona is made up of three large basins and is also home to arguably the Southern Hemisphere’s best terrain park and pipes. Find out more
CARDRONA

Elevation: 1860m/ 6374ft
Ski Terrain: 345ha
Distance from Queenstown: 1 Hr
About: Treble Cone is the South Islands largest ski area. Nestled in the heart of the Southern Alps, it is well known for its long, uncrowded runs, awesome off-piste terrain and epic views back over Lake Wanaka and Mount Aspiring National Park. It may be the furthest of the four ski areas from Queenstown but it's well worth the extra travel time for some of the best skiing in the country.
TREBLE CONE
Times: 9am - 4pm
Elevation: 2088m/ 6850ft
Ski Terrain: 550ha
Distance from Queenstown: 1 Hr 30 mins
